We had the pleasure to welcome a group from PTT ALGERIA, the postal and telecommunications utility of Algeria, who came to France for training on the Galaxy PW.

Focus on Algeria
Similar to many other countries in Africa, Algeria has begun to adapt to the market economy and to open its borders to foreign investors.
It should be noted that to date, only one person in 30 in Algeria has a telephone. The Algerian telecom services have set up a four-year project to change that situation and increase the ratio to one in ten.

How did you learn about MGE UPS SYSTEMS and the solutions offered?
MGE UPS SYSTEMS is well known for its consumer products on the UPS market and has a good reputation in terms of product quality and performance. We also read about MGE frequently in the specialised press. What is more, we are already familiar with Merlin Gerin electrical products.

What were your selection criteria?
After comparing MGE solutions and the level of performance with the competition via the press and technical reviews, we decided that we wanted the functionality, endurance and quality of the products and services offered by MGE.
In our opinion, these products have an international reputation for world-class quality and we will put them to good use in protecting our telecom applications.

How did you decide which equipment you needed?
On the basis of our infrastructure and protection needs, we drew up a set of technical specifications and MGE immediately came back with a Galaxy PW proposal that perfectly matched our needs.

Are you completely satisfied with your decision?
At that time, we were already equipped with Merlin Gerin 4000/6000 UPSs that were fully satisfactory. However, given that our growth is strong and telecom technology is not exactly standing still, we required equipment offering a higher level of performance and suited to our new needs.
That is why we decided to again place our confidence in the fine reputation of MGE UPS SYSTEMS.

What do you think of the training offered by MGE?
The course has been very useful in learning more about the equipment that we purchased in order to carry out maintenance and inspection work ourselves. Our stay here has been most pleasant and we wish to thank our instructor for a job well done.
