With its built-in static bypass, the priority for Comet will always be to keep the power flowing to your application. What is more, IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) technology contributes to the outstanding reliability of Comet, with, amongst others, the following advantages:

Enhanced protection with Battery Monitor


The Comet battery offers many outstanding features:
> Charger complying with all international standards,
> Charge cycle adapted to ambient temperature changes,
> Protection against deep discharge,
> Precise measurement of remaining backup time (patented by Merlin Gerin and CEAC),
> Physical separation between battery and electronic modules.

In addition, the Battery Monitor carries out tests automatically at regular intervals:
> Battery circuit test every 12 hours,
> Open-circuit battery test every month,
> Partial discharge test every 3 months,
> Alarm indicating the end of battery service life.
These tests are completely user-transparent. Only negative results produce indications (lights on front panel, messages on Monitor Plus, etc.). Manual tests can also be carried out by maintenance specialists.
