The THM concept (Total Harmonic Management)
offers a number of high-performance solutions to control harmonics
downstream and upstream of the UPS:
downstream, for 100% non-linear loads, the Galaxy 1000 PW distortion
level never exceeds 3%, even for highly distorting non-linear loads
with crest factors up to 3:1.
Galaxy 1000 PW efficiency remains unaffected even with loads of this
type,
upstream, Galaxy 1000 PW can be equipped with a THM active filter,
reducing harmonic distortion to less than 3%.
This solution is based on SineWave harmonic conditioning technology,
offering unsurpassed performance. In this way, Galaxy 1000 PW delivers
clean power to the load and causes no electrical disturbances upstream.

Battery Monitor
When you need your UPS the most, its
performance depends on the state of the batteries. That is why Galaxy
1000 PW comes with the most effective battery monitoring system available
on the market.
Battery Monitor™ offers the following features to optimize battery
life and maximize the security of your installation:
measurement of true backup time, taking into account the age of the
battery and the temperature,
prediction of remaining battery life,
protection against excessive discharge,
regulation of battery charge voltage as a function of temperature,
battery current limiting,
automatic battery tests at regular intervals.
High efficiency plus intelligent Eco
mode
Galaxy 1000 PW UPSs offer efficiencies
as high as 92%. And for even greater energy savings, you can run
them in intelligent Eco mode for less sensitive loads.
In intelligent Eco mode, the UPS supplies your applications via
the static bypass, returning immediately to on-line double conversion
if the need arises. In this way, you get efficiency levels as high
as 97% when the AC input source is within acceptables tolerances.
This can mean annual energy savings of up to 8% of the cost of your
UPS.
