What you need to know
> XML-Web card is used as
an information server (XML format) for the UPS. The root URL for
the web server is http://xxxx/mgeups/default.htm where xxxx is the
name of the agent card or its IP address.
>
For the administration functions, communication with the agent is
secure (SSL, i.e. https must be used instead of http and a password
is required).
XML-Web Card Architecture

3 components are used in the XML-Web
Card Architecture:
> XML-Web
Card manages communication with the UPS (as well as local protection
of the machine on which it is installed if it is a software agent).
>
Network Shutdown Module protects the
computer systems. It runs using the resources of a Java JVM virtual
machine installed on the protected machine.
>
A third component, a standard element on your machine, is your internet
browser which is used to monitor the UPS.
